Palembang, June 7, 2025 — The Minister of Primary and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen), Abdul Mu'ti, emphasized the importance of families in strengthening national resilience through character education for children. He made this statement at the 108th anniversary of 'Aisyiyah in Palembang on Wednesday (June 4).
He emphasized that national resilience cannot be achieved without family resilience, which is the primary foundation for developing children's character and positive habits. "National resilience begins with family resilience. Family resilience is crucial for building the golden generation of 2045, or a great generation of Indonesia," he explained.
He gave an example, one of the main programs of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen), namely the 7 Habits of Great Indonesian Children Movement, which includes waking up early, praying, exercising, eating healthy and nutritious food, loving learning, being social, and going to bed early, will only be effective if implemented consistently from the family environment.
"Why start with the family? Because these seven habits must begin within the family environment," he explained.
The Minister of Elementary and Secondary Education also expressed his appreciation for Aisyiyah's active role in supporting the ministry's programs, particularly in strengthening children's character through a community-based approach. "Thank you to Aisyiyah for supporting the Ministry of Elementary and Secondary Education's programs," he said.

Furthermore, the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education also announced a revitalization program for educational units, which will be implemented in stages over the next five years. The government has allocated funds for facilities and infrastructure assistance to more than 11,000 public and private schools. As part of the digitalization effort, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education will also distribute interactive whiteboards to schools across Indonesia.
The Chairperson of the 'Aisyiyah Central Leadership, Rohimi Zam Zam, also expressed her support for the Ministry of Education and Culture's move to strengthen the role of guidance and counseling (BK) teachers as the frontline in shaping children's character from an early age.
