Kudus Regency, October 8, 2025 — Character education is an essential foundation for producing a generation that is not only intelligent but also has noble character and is ready to lead Indonesia in the future. This was stated by the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen), Abdul Mu'ti, after conducting the Great Indonesian Children's Exercise in the courtyard of State Senior High School 1 Kudus, (7/10).

The activity, which was also attended by the Regent of Kudus, Sam'ani Intakoris, Minister Mu'ti seemed to be immersed in joy along with around 1,300 students as well as teachers and education personnel. In addition, also present were the Minister of Elementary and Secondary Education, the Director of Teacher Professional Education, Directorate General of Teachers, Education Personnel and Teacher Education, Ferry Maulana Putra, the Head of the Center for Education Quality Assurance of Central Java Province, Nugraheni Triastuti, the Head of the Center for Teachers and Education Personnel of Central Java Province, Darmadi, and the Head of the Language Center of Central Java Province, Dwi Laily Sukmawati.

Following the exercise, Minister Mu'ti and the Kudus Regent had the opportunity to greet students of SMAN 1 Kudus and deliver motivational messages. "Human development and mastery of science and technology are key to realizing Golden Indonesia 2045, which requires the active participation of the younger generation, especially Generation Z," explained the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education.

Minister Mu'ti also added that to produce an intelligent generation, the Ministry of Elementary and Secondary Education continues to support the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program in educational institutions. "The Ministry of Elementary and Secondary Education has coordinated across ministries with the Ministry of Health, the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), the Coordinating Ministry for Food, and other ministries regarding changes to the BGN circular regarding the Ministry of Elementary and Secondary Education's proposal regarding the involvement of teachers and education personnel in coordinating the distribution of MBG. We hope that the implementation of MBG will be even better in the future," she said.

Meanwhile, Regent Sam'ani Intakoris expressed his appreciation and warmly welcomed Minister Mu'ti's visit to one of the oldest schools in Kudus Regency.
