Jakarta, December 2, 2025 – The 2025 Early Childhood Education Interactive Digital Learning Content Competition is one of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education's (Kemendikdasmen) efforts to strengthen the digital learning ecosystem for early childhood in Indonesia. The event, held by the Directorate General of Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary Education (Ditjen PAUD Dikdasmen) in Jakarta on Tuesday (2/12), serves as a forum for sharing best practices in digital learning innovations that will enrich the materials at the Education House.
The Director General of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) and Elementary and Secondary Education (Dikdasmen), Gogot Suharwoto, expressed his appreciation to the participants and winners from various regions. He emphasized that this event was not just a competition, but a platform to expand good practices and encourage digital learning innovations that benefit PAUD students.
"The participants present today are champions in our commitment to providing innovative learning for Generation Z children. Digitalization of learning must go hand in hand with in-depth learning and remain oriented towards children's needs," said Gogot in Jakarta, Tuesday (2/12).
Gogot explained the focus of the educational transformation currently being implemented by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education under President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita (Asta Cita) program: character transformation, infrastructure transformation, and learning transformation. Digitalization of learning, strengthening computational thinking , and in-depth learning are at the heart of this transformation.
He emphasized that technology is intended to enrich the learning process, not replace physical activity and natural interactions in early childhood education. Teachers still play a central role in guiding the appropriate and proportional use of technology. "The role of teachers is actually growing in the digital age. Technology will not replace teachers," he emphasized.
On the same occasion, the Director of PAUD, Nia Nurhasanah, explained that the vision of quality education for all continues to be realized through various strategic policies, including Presidential Instruction Number 7 of 2025 which encourages the acceleration of development and revitalization of educational units and strengthening the digitalization of learning.
A total of 64,191 selected early childhood education (PAUD) units have been targeted by this year's digital learning program, in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 79 of 2025 concerning the Updating of the Government Work Plan. This national strategic project includes the provision of smartboards , laptops, content storage, internet access, and solar panels for PAUD units that do not yet have electricity or internet access.

Nia also stated that the Early Childhood Education Directorate is developing additional content through collaboration with various partners, aiming to reach a minimum of 499 interactive digital content pieces. Furthermore, to support content utilization, the Early Childhood Education Directorate is preparing TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) -based teaching modules to enable educators to create meaningful, mindful, and enjoyable learning experiences.
"We thank all participants for their extraordinary contributions. The more interactive digital content available, the more diverse learning resources we can utilize in the classroom to achieve quality education for all," said Nia.
Furthermore, one of the winners in attendance, Intan Dwi Permanasari, a teacher at the Anak Cerdas Ceria (Smart and Cheerful Children) Early Childhood Education (PAUD) in Malang, East Java, admitted she didn't expect to win second place. "I didn't expect it from the start, but thank God, I was nominated and won second place," Intan said.
Intan explained that the content she created was titled "Sikepi's Adventure," an interactive video combining a story and a simple quiz for children. It was designed to be easy to use without requiring much guidance from a teacher. "At the beginning, there's a story, then at the end, there's a quiz. Children can immediately try it out and press the buttons easily. The menu is also simple enough for children to operate on their own," she explained.
Regarding her hopes, Intan also stated that the content could still be further developed to better align with daily lesson plans. "In the future, I hope to improve it to be even better and provide more useful content, especially for social media," Intan said.*** (Author: Ririn / Editor: Denty A., Seno H., Documentation: Early Childhood Education Directorate Team)
