Sukabumi, March 8, 2026 - Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education (Wamendikdasmen), Fajar Riza Ul Haq, personally inspected the results of the educational unit revitalization program at SMAN 2 Sukabumi, West Java, on Friday (March 6). The visit was conducted to ensure that the revitalization assistance is being optimally utilized to improve the quality of learning facilities and infrastructure at the school.

During the visit, Deputy Minister Fajar observed various facilities that had been renovated through the revitalization program, including classrooms, science laboratories, libraries, and school administration rooms. The revitalization program was supported by approximately Rp1.4 billion in central government funding, which was used to improve learning facilities at the school.

"We want to ensure that this revitalization program truly benefits the school, both students and teachers. Improving infrastructure such as laboratories, libraries, and classrooms is a crucial part of supporting a higher-quality learning process," said Fajar.

In addition to reviewing school infrastructure improvements, Deputy Minister Fajar also observed the use of digital learning devices, including Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs) or Digital Interactive Boards (PIDs), already available in the library. These IFPs are expected to support more interactive and technologically adaptive learning.

As a form of support for strengthening technology-based learning, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) plans to add two PID units to each educational unit this year. "We hope that the use of this learning technology will help teachers deliver material in a more engaging and interactive manner, so that students can learn more optimally," he added.

Deputy Minister Fajar also emphasized the importance of synergy between the central and regional governments in improving the quality of education. He stated that educational development requires collaboration from various parties to ensure sustainable efforts to improve education quality.

"We appreciate the support of local governments, who continue to work together with the central government to improve the quality of education. This collaboration is crucial for the more effective implementation of various education quality improvement programs," he said.

On the same occasion, the principal of SMAN 2 Sukabumi, Nike Mustikasari, stated that the revitalization program had significantly impacted the school's condition. Prior to the revitalization, several school facilities were severely damaged, making them less conducive to learning.

"Before the revitalization, several rooms in our school were severely damaged, with some classrooms even nearing collapse. Through this revitalization program, the school facilities have significantly improved, allowing for a more comfortable and safe learning environment for both students and teachers," said Nike.

He hopes the educational unit revitalization program can continue to be expanded so that more schools can benefit, especially those still in need of improved learning facilities. "This revitalization program has been very helpful to our school.
