Jakarta, August 12, 2026 – The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) continues to strengthen collaboration through universal participation to expand access to education and support the development of young Indonesian talent. One form of this collaboration is the Siam Cement Group (SCG) Sharing the Dream 2026 scholarship program.
Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education (Wamendikdasmen) Fajar Riza Ul Haq, said that expanding access to education is an important part of protecting and realizing the dreams of Indonesian children.
"Education provides a space for Indonesian children to dream and plan for the future. Our shared responsibility is to safeguard these dreams by ensuring every child has access to a good, quality education," said Deputy Minister Fajar in Jakarta at the SCG Sharing the Dream awards ceremony on Tuesday (August 11).
To the SCG scholarship recipients, the Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education reminded them that the opportunity to receive educational support is a trust that must be utilized to continue learning, developing, and providing benefits to society.
"I urge you, students, to take this opportunity responsibly. Complete your education to the best of your ability and return to your community to make a positive impact," he said.
"We appreciate PT SCG Indonesia for consistently providing scholarship support to the nation's best children for 14 years. This effort demonstrates our commitment to realizing Quality Education for All through universal participation," added Deputy Minister Fajar.
Meanwhile, the Head of the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Maria Veronica Irene Herdjiono, stated that support from various parties through educational programs can strengthen the process of sustainable talent development, so that students' potential does not stop at achievement, but can continue to grow.
Furthermore, she stated that the SCG scholarship program aligns with the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Regulation (Permendikdasmen) Number 25 of 2025 concerning Student Talent Management. "The stages of student talent management include talent and interest identification, talent and interest development, talent actualization, appreciation, and capitalization of student talent. The SCG program is a capitalization of talent," Irene said.
Furthermore, Pattaraphon Charttongkum, President Director of PT SCG Indonesia, stated that the SCG Sharing the Dream program focuses not only on educational support for scholarship recipients but also on encouraging them to give back to their communities. "Scholarship recipients are not just recipients; they are also doing something sustainable for the community," he said.
For scholarship recipients, educational support is part of the journey to develop their achievements and continue their education to a higher level. One such benefit is experienced by Muhammad Raffi Aditya Pradipta, an alumnus of SMA Negeri 1 Karawang who participated in the Chemistry branch of the National Science Olympiad (OSN). He expressed gratitude for the opportunity, including the fact that his achievements have been recorded in the Talent Management Information System (SIMT).
"I previously participated in the National Science Olympiad (OSN) Chemistry competition. I'm very grateful that my achievements were recognized in the SIMT. Now I'm studying at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and received an SCG Scholarship," said Raffi.
Ananda Safira Aulia from SMA Negeri 56 Jakarta expressed a similar sentiment. "I was one of the recipients of an award at the National Student Arts and Literature Festival (FLS3N) in the Poetry Creation category. My name is registered in the SIMT (Student Writing Competition) and will serve as a portfolio for my future," she said.
For your information, the eight SCG Scholarship recipients are alumni of a talent competition organized by the National Center for Presence of Children (Puspresnas). Their achievements are recorded in the national talent database, SIMT.*** (Author: Puspresnas Team/Editor: Destian/Photographer: Yuswan Rosepi)
