Yogyakarta, Ministry of Education and Culture - Deputy Minister of Elementary and Secondary Education (Wamendikdasmen), Fajar Riza Ul Haq, emphasized the importance of innovation and adjustments to education policies to meet community needs. This was conveyed during the Dean's Report and Scientific Oration at the culmination of the 43rd Anniversary of the Graduate School of Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in Yogyakarta on Thursday (10/15). Fajar stated that public policy is dynamic and can be adjusted based on issues encountered during implementation. He believes that direct experience in the field, including listening to the complaints of teachers in remote, frontier, and outermost (3T) areas, is a crucial factor in driving breakthroughs in education policy. "There's no such thing as a fixed policy; it's always evolving," Fajar said. He cited the example of the problems faced by private schools when their teachers were appointed as Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK). This situation has caused a number of private schools to lose their best teachers and experience a shortage of teaching staff. Deputy Minister Fajar explained that the government then sought to address these issues through policy adjustments. He stated that in January 2025, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen)

Singaraja, Bali, October 17, 2026 — For Carli Mayos Talan, a 12th-grade student at SMK Negeri 1 Pandawai in East Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), inspiration came from the activities of fishermen at Palakahembi Beach. Meanwhile, for Putu Aditya Kusuma Wibawa and I Ketut Bagus Pramana Putra, 12th-grade students at SMA Negeri 4 Denpasar, Bali, business opportunities were found in canang waste, which is closely related to the lives of the local community. For their innovation, they won first place in the 2026 Indonesian Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Festival (FIKSI) in different categories. Carli won first place in the Business Plan Category in the Agribusiness, Agrotechnology, and Maritime Sector, while Putu Aditya Kusuma Wibawa and I Ketut Bagus Pramana Putra won first place in the Business Development Category in the Health, Beauty, and Personal Care Sector. For Carli, the idea for NETGREEN stemmed from her observations of the challenges faced by fishermen on Palakahembi Beach. The white trammel nets typically used by fishermen were deemed too conspicuous in shallow waters and seagrass beds. This made it easier for fish and shrimp to recognize the nets, reducing their chances of catching fish. "From that problem, NETGREEN was born, an environmentally friendly

Yogyakarta, October 16, 2026 - The sound of the angklung floated amidst the cheerful cheer of the children at IT Mekar Insani Kindergarten. They enthusiastically played the song "Padhang Bulan." Behind this traditional musical performance, there are important lessons: the children learn to listen, be patient, cooperate, and give opportunities to their friends. Among the students were two siblings, Bintang and Bulan, who attend IT Mekar Insani Kindergarten. They seemed engrossed in playing the angklung. They were both entrusted with playing the angklung with the note "si" and showed enthusiasm when it was their turn to play it. "I'm so happy," said Bintang, and Bulan agreed. For TK IT Mekar Insani, angklung is not just a means of introducing traditional Indonesian music. This activity also serves as a fun learning environment for character development and fostering harmony with friends. This aligns with the spirit of character building promoted by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen). The principal of IT Mekar Insani Kindergarten, Zenny Savitri, explained that playing the angklung is an extracurricular activity that fosters children's interests and talents in the arts. [DFK – DISINFORMATION/OLD CONTEXT] The narrative circulating: "Sir, Madam, please allow me to tag/forward this, hopefully, it will reach the palace. Please forward it... for the sake of humanity and justice." This is an old video, from before the case was resolved in November 2025. The request in the video has been submitted to the President and has been followed up. On November 13, 2025, President Prabowo Subianto granted rehabilitation to two North Luwu teachers, Rasnal and Abdul Muis, restoring their reputations and status. Subsequently, both were reinstated as civil servants. Thus, the video is an old video but it is misleading if it is distributed now as if the case has not yet been resolved. Please work together to stop spreading old narratives and refer to official government information.
